これまでのニューアルバムについての情報を整理してみました。

ピートがダイアリーの中で、ニューアルバムを作るためにスタジオ入りすることを宣言。

日本語サイトを含む、各音楽ニュースでそのことが報道される。
11月23日
フーのOfficial SiteでマネージャーのBill CurbishleyがZakとPinoの今後フーと活動をしないという噂を否定するメッセージを発表する。彼が言うには彼らは多忙なミュージシャンであるが、フーとの活動は二人にとって特別でユニークで最も重きを置いてくれているらしい。
そもそもこんな噂があることする私は知りませんでしたが。

The world of rock and roll has always been an incestuous one, and
now things seem to be getting worse. After a long courtship, Brit
popsters Oasis have announced that Zak Starkey will be manning the
drum stool for 2005. Zak of course, is the son of former Beatle
Ringo Starr, (whose music has long shaped the image of Oasis), and
former drummer with the latest incarnation of classic rock act The
Who. Starkey's departure translates into yet another change behind
the kit for guitarist Pete Townshend and vocalist Roger Daltrey, as
they have engaged in a Spinal Tap-esque game of drummers du jour
since the passing of Keith Moon in 1978. Adding to The Who's
staffing misfortunes is the confirmation that fill-in bassist Pino
Palladino will supplant John Deacon in Queen, effective immediately.
As the futures of Oasis and Queen look to be in place, focus now
falls firmly on The Who. The twin defections come at a precarious
time for the group as a long rumored album of new material is slated
for release in the Spring. While various names have been circulated
as replacements for Starkey and Palladino, sources close to
Townshend acknowledge a short list of "probable candidates" has been
hastily assembled, contingent upon availability. It is reported that
Mick Fleetwood and Ian Paice, formerly of Fleetwood Mac and Deep
Purple respectively, stand at the forefront for drum duties, while
the bassist highest on the list is Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam fame. No
date has been established for final staffing decisions, but the
Townshend camp is said to be hopeful that the new line-up will be
confirmed by Christmas.
表現が分かりにくい箇所があるが、つまりZakはOasisへPinoはQueenへ加入することになったので、代わりにMick Fleetwood and Ian PaiceやJeff Ament of Pearl Jamの名が挙がっている。タウンゼント筋ではクリスマスまでには決定したいとしているという記事のようだ。
それに対して、マネージャーが異例のメッセージを出すほどなので、全く根拠の無い話ではないでしょうが、今のところはBill Curbishleyのコメントを信じたいと思います。
